Please download the attachment to read a short letter containing details about the first ever Day of Action, and AFLA's request that all family law lawyers not schedule court on February 21, 2023 and seek adjournments where possible and appropriate. We hope that doing so en masse will help to attract attention to issues which affect families such as Legal Aid coverage (eligibility and hours in particular), and the implementation of a Unified Family Court. Please share the letter with your offices and your networks.

In addition to what's contained in the letter, AFLA's steering committee also decided to host our first virtual town hall meeting on the same day, February 21, 2023 at noon, where we invite our membership to raise your concerns, so that we'll have a better idea of what issues are important to you. We'll have more details and a Zoom link shortly, but please mark your calendars for now.
