The Court of Queen's Bench has officially expressed support for arbitration, and has created a way to enforce arbitration awards via written application during the pandemic. Arbitration is now the best way to obtain quick resolutions of contentious support and parenting matters. See the full announcement here: https://albertacourts.ca/qb/resources/announcements/alternative-dispute-resolution-consent-orders-and-applications-to-enforce-arbitration-awards/

I'm working on an online calendar to facilitate family law arbitration bookings during the pandemic. I'll post the details soon. Want to learn more about family law arbitration? Visit http://divorcearbitrations.ca/

The Court's announcement follows a joint proposal submitted to the Courts, which was endorsed by 32 of Alberta's family law arbitrators. Thank you Tina Huizinga, Michele Reeves, and Norm Picard QC for helping me to write it, and thank you to everyone who supported us. I've attached the letter, in case anyone's curious.
