The Court of Queen's Bench published a new Affidavit of Applicant for desk divorces last month. At the moment they're still accepting the old form, but as of January 1, 2021 the grace period is over, so you'll definitely want to start using the new form. https://albertacourts.ca/qb/resources/announcements/new-form-of-affidavit-of-applicant-for-divorce-grace-period

Summary of changes: it's twice as long now.

I'd like to learn other counsels' perspectives of whether it is acceptable to edit out irrelevant aspects, eg. when there are no children of the marriage. It seems to me very cumbersome to keep those clauses in. We are told the court wants streamlined documents. From my perspective, it makes no sense to keep in extraneous boiler plate that adds pages to the pleadings. I removed those in my most recent submission. Time will tell if I get bounced. Regards,
Suzanne

@Suzanne, I have always removed irrelevant clauses from court forms like this, to clean it up, make it easier to read. So far I have not had any issues with that.
