Join panelists Sandra Badejo, Enrique Dubon-Roberts and Alex MacNab in a candid discussion on their lived experiences as lawyers in family law. The panelists will speak about their practices, obstacles and give practical advice. Time permitting, there will be a Q&A session with attendees near the end of the event. Attendees will walk away with an understanding of issues faced by diverse lawyers practicing family law in Alberta.



Sandra Badejo is a partner at Crerar Badejo Hagen Family Law Group in Edmonton where she practices in family law, including representing children and youth in child welfare matters. Prior to being called to the Alberta Bar, Sandra practiced for several years in Nigeria. She is also an active volunteer in her community and her church.


Enrique Dubon-Roberts practices at Kahane Law Office in Calgary, where his focus is on support and property division issues. Prior to attending law school, he was a teacher in both secondary and post-secondary institutions in Calgary. Enrique is an active volunteer in the legal community, having previously sat on the CBA Alberta Editorial Committee.


Alex MacNab practices at Moe Hannah LLP in family law, where he has extensive training and experience in negotiation, mediation and arbitration, and also specializes in repreoductive law including surrogacy and adoption. Alex is active in the CBA Alberta Family Law Section and is a volunteer with the Generations of Hope Fertility Assistance Fund.
