The Federal Child Support Tables have been updated. They will be effective November 22, 2017. They were last updated in 2011. Keep in mind that for retroactive calculations, you'll still need to use the 2011 tables.

They're updated to account for changes in taxation at the federal and provincial levels, so that even though guideline income is based on gross income, there is still some built-in consideration for net income, which can vary quite a bit between provinces.

More information about the changes, as well as links to both the 2017 and 2011 Tables and online calculators, can be found here: http://www.justice.gc.ca/eng/fl-df/child-enfant/ft-tf.html

Also of note is that ChildView will be releasing a fairly significant update on Monday (version 2017.2.2). You'll want to update right away to take advantage of the new tables, but in addition to that change, they've also made significant changes to the home screen, such as updating some of the graphics, adding additional buttons to the main screen (save, quick tables, summary of data input), the "quick table" feature which will show each calculation under each version of the Tables, the "open" button will now show your 10 most recent files, and in 2017 you'll have to choose whether or not to use the 2017 or 2011 tables. I was able to see a preview of the new version, I think these changes could be useful.
