RIP Deb Miller (QC or not...)

Super sad to hear tonight that the fierce & fabulous, feisty & funny DEB MILLER (QC...or not) passed away on Thursday night. For years she was Senior Counsel in the Family Law Office of Legal Aid Alberta and she was well known to many of us as a long-time LEAF stalwart. In 2022, she very publicly disclaimed her QC - which got a lot of press.

In these last few years of her feminist-lawyering life, not one to throw in the towel - she co-taught the seminar on Women, Law and Social Change at UofA Law School with Jennifer Tomaszewski. I LOVED being part of an occasional class with this formidable feminist duo. Deb was truly one of a kind. RIP.

Thank you for posting Tracy. It is sad to see her go. I found Deb to be not only a force but also a very kind and helpful person. She will be greatly missed. I heard through the grapevine there will be a celebration of life. If you hear anything, please share.
